Medicine Drum Camp
This is a workshop for Mamas and their Maidens. Here we connect in circle with beautiful people – we share – we create – we connect with ourselves, our daughters and others.
The drums are birthed by the maidens and midwifed by the Mamas in natural surrounds. We come together to enjoy glorious foods and snacks as we birth the drums that will serve and connect the mini maidens moving forth!
This workshop is designed so Mamas and their Maidens can share a transformational journey together, working as a team and
- Learning about ‘ourselves’ and each other on a deeper level
- Identifying different patterns in the relationship: the ones that are awesome and the ones that may no longer serve you both moving forward
- Discover the keys to unlock the codes to the creative processes – for you and for your daughter (or niece)
- Meet the ones who are our tribe!
- Create connections and lifelong friendships with awesome people!
Once the girls have their drums, we all meet again at later dates, with even more drummers from other camps – we sing, share and keep the connection going with drumming circles and bonfire camps throughout the year, the seasons and the cycles.
Cycle Stones and Keep Bag
This is an over night workshop for the maidens to get crafty and meet other mini maidens. This camp is we dive in to the wisdom of the moon cycles. These cycle stones are inspired by
Until we menstruate and when we menopause – we are ‘with the moon’ this means our mood and sensitivities could be increased and enhanced around difference phases of the moon. When a maiden begins her cycle of menarche, there are now 2 cycles to be aware of. We look at how the phases of the moon and our moon cycle is similar and we discover ways to be in alignment with ‘where we are at’ in any given cycle, by creating a map together. We turn the map into our own craft.
Having the map shows us not only where to put the stone each day but also what we can expect on any given day depending on where we are at in the cycle.
The Cycle Stones camp is all about connection. We choose our stones together as a group and create our Keep Bags as we sit sacred circle and chat about the cycles. We have meal breaks and branch off into smaller groups in an organized way so everyone gets to meet everyone individually. We make our bags for the rest of the afternoon. We eat dinner together as a group and talk about the day. We sit around the fire and drink relaxing non caffeinated teas before we go to bed. We’ll wake up the following morning for breakfast and create the cycle stone maps. Mamas and Aunties are encouraged to attend if they feel called to. Samples of workshop content available
Talking Bowl Weaving Workshop
This is a full day workshop learning the unique craft of basket weaving. Lunch and snacks included. Take home what you make! Maidens are encouraged to bring beads, shells with holes and other charms to add to the basket. We discuss intentions, how to create a sacred ritual around setting them, begin your day with them – then weave them all into the basket.
Dream Pillow Camp
Over night ‘slumber party’ style indoor camp where the maidens create their own dream pillow.
